Eco Factor: Sustainable bus waiting booth harvests solar energy for power.
Shanghai-based Yang-Design has unveiled a solar-powered bus waiting booth for Ningbo South Business District, China. The sustainable booth is divided into three units, which allows the space to be reduced or increased according to the need.
The modular design allows reduces maintenance. Two rising benches have been provided for a few visitors, while ample space has been provided for many others to stand. Between the benches a city information center and an advertisement billboard have been installed. The bus waiting booth is equipped with solar panels, which generate the energy required for the advertisement billboard, information center and lights.
