How does it work?
Its function is almost similar to that of the old fashioned winding toys. The winding toys start moving when the inbuilt spring is activated with the help of a key. Similarly, a spiral spring is fitted in this self rechargeable battery with a clockwork mechanism. What one needs to do is wind the battery in a clockwise manner to charge it up fully. The spring is attached to a generator and a shaft that rotates generating power through winding. The spring and the rechargeable Ni-mh battery are connected with each other through an internally designed electrical circuit.
