Eco Factor: Sustainably designed housing mega structure gets powered by wind energy.

Australian architects David John McMorrow and Mario Celik, have planned a self sustainable futuristic city in the middle of the ocean with an aim to house a fraction of our booming billions by 2050. Called the Sustainable Ocean Living (SOL) tower and complex the organic edifice located in the middle of a marina complex has been visualized as a food and energy generating power house for the people it houses.

The mega structure would be powered by wind energy generated by buoys that keep bobbing on the ocean surface. The aesthetically designed construction also features vertical gardens to practice agriculture, food producing ocean fish farms, and a marina with luxury hotels, restaurants and other amenities. Interestingly, the SOL tower could exist anywhere and has been designed for a location 10 km off the coast of Perth, Australia.
