You don’t need to place extra pots with greens in and around your house as buildings with plants on the walls are rising high in sky. And these are not accidental growths on the concrete. The architects at Triptyque have erected an office building, Harmonia 57, in São Paulo with a planted facade irrigated by a mist system. Greens can grow in intended pores that are set in the organic concrete facade which will eventually cover the building. The pipelines that run water through the whole structure also render moisture needed by these plants. These metal lines cover the exteriors of the building in grid form.
The mist in the air will also cool down soaring temperatures during summers. I hope this idea of watering the plants-on-walls is based on recycled water from the same structure. That will raise its green standards.
