For Vodafone UK subscribers who don’t actually want to spend too much to purchase a next-gen smartphone, the company has unveiled a new ultra low cost handset – the Vodafone 247. The 247 doesn’t offer any groundbreaking functions and features, but includes an onboard solar panel for recharging on the move.
The 247’s feature list is pretty basic, with a color screen, voice and SMS support and an FM radio as well. There’s not price or availability date, but the device is expected to do well among those who’re looking for a phone for those extended camping trips.
