Worried with the milk shelf life or growth of harmful bacteria on it at room temperature! Sometimes, even to protect it against bacteria, we have to unwillingly introduce off-flavors into the beverage.
Here is a great solution to this, found by a team of Oregon State University researchers – it is putting the squeeze on milk.
They have discovered that ultrahigh-temperature pasteurization (UHT) produce milk that stays fresh at room temperature for even six months! But, although UHT leaves a ‘cooked’ flavor in milk limiting its popularity in the United States, it can keep the milk fresh without using off-flavors in it.
