The Tide House: A stylish shipping container house

Everyone wants to go green in their own style. Recycling and reusing has become a common trend among architects and designers. Anything is recycled and turned into a masterpiece. After all it’s the need of our planet to go green as much as possible. Considering this need of the hour, architects Miguel Angel Mota and Fabrice Villaume, along with designer Luz Elena Morena have built a green house named, ’Tide House’.

Tide House

The house is build out of two recycled shipping containers and great emphasis is placed on the environmentally friendly design and textures. The original model has been modified as per the need of customers and most of the material used is recycled creating a unique and stylish example of eco tech house for Europe. The walls of the house are coated with the white polished concrete resulting in very interesting texture and medium of reflecting incident light.

The house is quite unusual and yet it’s functional and multifaceted. Space is used very well for various activities and it can be used as a house, a workshop and even an art gallery. It has a garden in the backyard as well as in the front. The front garden overlooks the garage and main entrance. The two containers are connected by a bridge, creating a loft with all available material. It is purely an eco friendly industrial design of green architecture.
