Sway: Electric trike offers the fun of a bike with a fall proof design

There is something about riding a bike that is akin to flying. The rush apparently comes from the ‘risk’ factor that comes attached. Because we know that at high speeds there a descent chance of falling there is an adrenaline rush, which gives an exhilarating feeling. While that is a state of the human mind, the risk of falling is very real. And if you do, then sometimes the fall can prove fatal if you are not wearing the right gear. Creator of ‘Sway’, Joe Wilcox promises the same rush without the perils of a fall.

New electric motor-trike

With his new electric trike that is dubbed as ‘Sway’ you can lean into turns and can get the same rush as you would in the case of a bike without any risk of falling. In fact, Wilcox says that falling off of Sway is difficult even if you try to. He Sway though works more like a ski than a bike as you can sway both sides and you can control the tilt of the vehicle using the footpads. This definitely is a lot more exciting and involves a bit more physical activity than the regular bikes around.

With its design, the electric trike brings stability and is great for beginners , who want to learn how to balance their movements on a bike. Since it is all electric, you do not have to worry about emissions. Sway has a range of 60 miles and can hit a top speed of 40mph. It may not flash past anyone at blinding speed, but it offers a safe and emission free commuting vehicle that also looks cool. The trike takes around two hours to charge fully and is set for release sometime next year.
