I don’t carry much cash because most of my purchases are on credit, now I can also provide a helping hand to all organizations that want Earth to be greener.
Till now buying products with credit cards helped you get into some competitions (which sadly I have never won till date), but this credit card named GE Money – Earth Rewards – EcoMagination – Master Card donates 1% of the amount spent on your purchases to organizations that offset carbon dioxide. So everyone comes out a winner in this one, even me.
Their greenhouse gas reduction projects include sponsoring all those involved with methane capture at landfills, renewable energy projects and reforestation. GE wants you to offset at least the amount of carbon that you have littered in the atmosphere, however, to do that you will have to make purchases of around $750 a month. Well, I don’t regularly make that many purchases per month but will surely want to reduce as much carbon as I can…!
