A £30m plan has been launched to create an eco-friendly business park in north Kent. The new sustainable construction centre- SusCon — is scheduled to open by 2010. The center will have laboratories for researching and designing new energy-efficient building methods with a goal to make UK, the first country with green technology.
It will also house a centre where tradesmen will be trained to equip them with energy- efficient products such as solar panels. Though the SusCon will not look like the Eden Project – as it won’t be housing plants – it will be similar in the fact that Eden Project educates people about plants and it will educate people, also growing eco-friendly businesses.
