Stratton Mountain Resort is now using 16,500,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of renewable energy credits from Renewable Choice Energy. Its credits are enough for offsetting 100% of the electricity consumption of its entire operation.
This commitment of Stratton Mountain to renewable energy is said to be avoiding over 22 million pounds of carbon dioxide pollution each year! And this is equal to taking 2,000 cars off the road or planting over 3000 acres of trees! The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compared.
