A stack of books recycled into a perfect rendering of human skull

In past, we have covered lots of designers around the world who have come up with innovative ideas to recycle books. The visually magical creations out of discarded books by Alexander Korzer-Robinson and 3D sculptures by contemporary artist Guy Laramee are just few examples down the time lane.

A Skull of Books

Since every year around the world billions of books are printed, most of these books are useless and just collect dust on them after some time. Examples of such books can be computer manuals, taxation books, telephone directories, etc. that are modified, printed every year and usually become outdated by the end of the year. These books just built up a stack in your house until you come with some solution to get rid of them.

Maskull Lasserre, an artist from Canada, who now lives and works in Montreal, QC, has come up with an innovative idea to recycle such useless books. He has turned an old thick outdated computer manuals stack into a perfect rendering of a human skull. The method is simple, first of all, the stack of books is pressed with clamps making it as hard as wood. Then using a special drill design is carved. Apart from books he has also created amazing sculptors out of wood in past.
