Traditionally solar energy has been most often used to heat water and generate electricity. But a new company called Conserval Engineering is now applying the science of harnessing the power of the sun to heating air. An innovative new device called SolarDuct uses sunlight to heat up the air before it enters the ventilator system of a building thus providing centralized heating inside. The modular units can be easily installed on buildings with flat roofs. The device is a spin off of the SolarWall heating system already in use by institutions like US Army, Canadian Government, NASA, Ford, Federal Express, Wal-Mart and 3M, and can help individuals and businesses save a bundle on heating costs.
