Solar roasted coffee for a green taste

solarroastcoffee
I am writing this post after a cup of coffee – for me coffee is a respite from hard days work, but for some the day begins with coffee itself. If it was just about that simple cup of coffee, I wouldn’t have been writing this – though, it’s something unusual – it’s about coffee beans that are roasted with power of the sun.

We are familiar with the organic and fair-trade coffee, but here’s a new addition, the Solar Roasted Coffee that’ll keep the environment conscious on the tenterhooks for long.

No fossil fuel’s required, the motor deployed for roasting the organic coffee beans too runs on solar energy, assuring least impact on the environment. A giant mirror is set over a roasting drum, the mirror focuses the rays of the sun into the drum, and the drum keeps spinning and turning the entire day for maximum solar energy – roasting batches of coffee without emitting any green house gas. The machine is eco-friendly and produces the cleanest and purest coffee.

If you live by the pueblo region, you’re the most fortunate – coz the Solar Roast Coffee shares the same inhabitation, the coffee presently costs about $12 a pound – and could make its way form pueblo to the entire Western US soon, so watch out for a cup of that green taste.
