Seiko would be launching other models of the PV powered watches and would be pricing them between $215- $285. This watch can run for six months after being fully charged.

This mechanical watch combines the unique drums and vertical tourbillon and chain and fusée from the WTV and has combined them an innovative technique that produces and treats silicium crystals for making the optimum use of solar cells. The Sol Invictus is the first mechanical timepiece that is powered by solar energy. The rechargeable lithium ion batteries and motors are located beneath the solar cells. This timepiece would cost a whopping $560,000, as it is based on a 19th century design by the scientist Léon Foucault.

Casio has been manufacturing solar powered watches for quite some time, and its G-Shock time piece is another feather added to their cap. This eco friendly solar powered watch gives accurate time as it receives time calibration radio signals. This watch has various features such as an auto calender, an hourly time signal, a daily alarm, a 1/100 second stopwatch, an auto LED light along with afterglow. Apart from these regular features, it also follows the world time of thirty cities and also has a high water resistance of 200m.

Diana, is another eco friendly and sustainable watch that is beautifully crafted by Tommaso Ceschi who works as a senior designer and researcher in Milan, Italy. The solar powered watch has a rich and classic look and doesn’t contain the conventional minutes hand in the dial. The hour hand is the only time indicator, which is unconventionally placed at the top of the dial, making it look like the globe with latitude and longitude lines running across the number 1 to 12.
