Socage to launch new compact ‘green’ models for metropolitan use at Apex

Socage A314 NAT

Socage, the renowned Italian manufacturer of platforms, will go ‘green’ with its latest models that will be unveiled at Apex during September this year. All the models – the A314 NAT, the 1314 UP, T320, and the TJ35 – are all ecofriendly vehicles as they are powered by electricity via a lithium-ion battery. Heavy urban transportation using sustainable energy forms is a responsible route to undertake – as electricity-driven vehicles would be in much demand over the coming years due to the high fuel costs and scarcity of the same.

Electric vehicles would definitely prove to be a better and safer and affordable option. The A321 NAT (Natural Aerial Transport) would have an Ecomile FAAM truck as the carrier, run by a lithium-ion battery (150 Ah Li-Po) and an AC Electric motor of 96 Volts. This model would be able to travel approximately 100 km with the highest speed of 80 kph. The best feature of this model is that it can work at a height without producing sound and gases, i.e., no pollution or disturbance to the surroundings.

The other model – the A314 UP (Urban Platform) – would be atop a Piaggio Porter with features similar to the A314 NAT. The third model – the T320 – would be mounted on a Nissan Cabstar. The fourth model – the TJ35 – would rest on a Mercedes Axor. Socage’s new models will surely be a great way to save the environment from noxious fumes coming out of heavy vehicles – making these upcoming platforms a preferred alternative option.
