Designers these days seem to be up with whatever that Hollywood has to offer. If they can create wonder on screen, then these designers can create magic with CGI. The green designs these days are defying convention and defining innovation and the “Smart DOTS + Soft MOBS” feels exactly the same. Designed by Terreform 1 + KARV, this changes the way we look at transportation and the roads of future.
It is true that our imagination is limited by our reality at times. All our designs for commuting vehicles and road systems are just an extension or slight evolution of the existing system. But Dots and Mobs changes all that. The thought process here is to create an urban commuting system that ensures that you do not have any more crashes with heavy metal. The giant floating structures in the sky (much like Jellyfishes in the oceans) have tentacles that offer you seating.
These soft and organized transportation medium along with an infrastructure that supports them will ensure that you no longer have to deal with on-road pollution, rush hour jams, ghastly crashes or even a closed view of your roads from behind the glass. With recycle zones, pedestrian pathways, green transportation and various other features, the entire system look at revamping present urban transportation.
The system reduces car usage, increases bicycle riding, pedestrian zones and also the Dots purify the greywater and channelize rainwater as well. The giant vehicles in sky themselves will be self-powered using electricity generated by air movement and will also purify the air by carbon absorption. Simply put, the Dots + Mobs system is as good as perfect. The only downside being it may not be that ‘simple to put’ this space-age innovation up.
