Saudi Arabia is definitely setting high standards for urban design and they certainly have the right people to leverage their designs. The Chicago based architecture firm Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill are known for their brilliant work, not just this, they recently also bagged a prize for designing the first building with zero waste; zero carbon emission outside of Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirate.

The ‘wind towers’ are set in the heart of King Abdullah Economic city, which happens to be the single largest private sector in the region. This gorgeous 120 story sustainable tower has photovoltaic exterior walls and is slightly leaning so that it could take utmost advantage of the winds from the Red Sea which can be utilized for electricity. The design is such that it glimmers in the sun making it look extremely posh and is located where the view to the sea is optimum, these towers truly embody magnificence!
