For one, buying a bottle of water costs much more than filling a glass or reusable bottle from a tap and secondly, use of plastic produces negative effects on health as well the environment. As an answer to this problem, we now have the option of using personal water bottles with filters, like the one manufactured by Revolve. It is a BPA free 27oz stainless steel personal water bottle that not only carries water, but filters it as you drink.
