Rancho Cordova gets eco friendly apartment community

The cost of housing is witnessing a constant rise as the human population threatens to exceed available space. This has led to high rises for apartment communities being constructed, whose designs are negligible at best. True, they provide people with housing, but many do so in a manner that lacks style and a homely feel. This is why the eco friendly KTGY designed apartment community deserves mention for its beautiful architecture and green features.

KTGY-designed Eco-Friendly Apartment Community

KTGY Group Inc. is an award winning company, who took up the project (Phase One) for The Crossings at Rancho Cordova’s in Sacramento, California. The result is an apartment community that offers affordable housing to people without compromising on housing essentials while incorporating eco friendly facilities. The community consists of 12 two bedroom and six three bedroom apartments built in an area that was once occupied by a ramshackle motel.

The strategically located apartment community has nearby schools, hospitals, grocery shops, pharmacy shops and public transit, which give the residents the requisite infrastructure. All the apartments have been fitted with central heating, air conditioning, improved insulation, stoves and ovens, refrigerators, room fans, balconies and storage space.

The eco friendly apartments have also been fitted with solar panels for power generation while materials used for the floors, railings and furniture are recycled content, neutralizing the emission of toxic chemicals. To facilitate the promotion of good health, all the buildings have been designed as nonsmoking areas.

Ranging from $465 to $939 per month, The Crossings’ apartment community has an onsite community center, which houses a computer lab, resident services program, laundry service and full service kitchen. Residents can also enjoy hanging out in the outdoors with amenities like BBQs, a garden, seating areas and a playground for kids. Phase Two of the project called Horizons will see 48 apartments being built consisting of one and two bedroom homes for senior citizens.
