Eco Factor: Green shed-like structure made from old phone books.
Books are indeed man’s best friend and proving this saying correct are students from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, who have done their bit for the environment using phone books. This team of eco-conscious students collaborated with Richard Kroeker Design to build a remarkable shed-like structure from unwanted phone books.
The phone booth gave new life to as many as 7,000 phone books.
The walls interestingly bring old phone books together to give a unique shape. The structural beams that hold up the roof are made from laminated phone books. It is certainly a very interesting way to preserve an endangered species, the phone book.
