This new invention will surely bring a sigh of relief to concerned and impatient environmentalists and conservationists! Perhaps, very soon, car parks, patios and other paved areas could be capable of collecting rainwater, purify it and then channel it to underground tanks for reuse! That’s amazing!
The special porous pavers that will be made of concrete, will contain specific additives that would purify the polluted run-off. This water could then be captured in large underground tanks to be used for irrigation, cleaning and flushing the toilet, informs Professor Simon Beecham, a civil engineer from the University of South Australia.
