Panasonic donates Solar LED Lanterns to Japan’s earthquake victims

Modest it may seem, especially in the view of the recent catastrophic Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake that jolted Northeast Japan, but this clearly heartfelt act in form of ‘green’ aid from Panasonic will surely make the life of some of the victims a bit more easier. Panasonic has donated around 4,000 solar-powered lanterns to Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures.

Hoping for swift recovery of the the victims, Panasonic said:

One of the models also include USB output which can be used to recharge mobile phones. We hope that the products will be able to bring light in midst the situation, especially where electrical supply is still limited. Panasonic Group and its employees sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster.
