Pakistan: 8,000 new CNG buses to replace the old ones in 4 years

Pakistan plans to go green on the roads over the next four years! To make the plan successful, the City District Government Karachi is by devising a program to replace old buses with 8,000 new CNG buses.

To help the local transporters to get these buses imported at subsidized rates, the federal government is offering the country with Rs 4 billion (US$66.4 million). Under its current fiscal year budget, the City District Government Karachi has also earmarked Rs 500 million (US$8.3 million) for the scheme.
