OnCycle electric bike blends electric power with stylish looks

Every day we all see plenty of electric bikes out in the streets, and it is needless to mention, they are ideal for city transportation. Generally, people fail to identify these eco friendly electronic bikes from others because most of them lack a distinguished design. This unexplored arena tempted a team of five charismatic designers to work on a definitively designed electronic bike, named the OnCycle.

The designers have developed the electronic bike for the American market under the mentorship of Bill Rupp. They want to make this bike respected and desirable as an alternative transportation option.

The OnCycle is crafted with all inherent advantages that an electronic bike can possibly feature. From its motor to lights, the bike swanks an electric nature. It has an illuminated motor, a display to show battery status, integrated lights and much more.

For a dazzling look, the designers added an illumination capability to the bike’s motor, which situates behind the pedal cranks. The bottom bracket motor also reduces intimidation for riders. Apart from these mechanical features, the bike touts additional features like a D-lock, pannier, better lights and more.

Aaron Kurosu, Mei Hsieh, Alex Broerman, Matt Gill and Tony Cohen are the designers of the OnCycle. Due to the increasing fuel costs and growing awareness about green living, people are largely switching over to more sustainable options. Indeed, OnCycle project is an effort to make electronic bikes more stylish and comfortable for daily use.
