Now solar-powered camera to track Alaska Brown Bears

A remote camera is trained to get the close-up of every move of the McNeil River bears. So now, you don’t need to be just lucky to have a glance of the bears. Amazingly, the camera pans the falls where the bears gather to brawl over salmon, cool off in the falls, sunbathe on the rocks and fatten up for the long, Alaska winter.

The cam does not just bring you closer to the bears and their habits, but is environment-friendly as well. It is not run by any battery, just to be added to the swelling landfill when used. The camera is powered by the sun in the afternoon and is controlled by an interpreter at the Pratt Museum in Homer to get the best views.
