Eco Factor: Sustainable lamp powered by solar energy.
Designed by Wendy Legro, a student at The Netherland’s Design Academy of Eindhoven, the Morning Glory is a solar-powered lamp that takes shape of a flower. The project aims to reduce the energy spent in lighting homes using conventionally powered light bulbs.
The sustainable flower is intended to be hung near a window, where it can harvest solar energy to power itself after dark. When its bright outside, the lamp shrinks up allowing sunlight to pass through, when it grows dark the lamp blooms in a snowflake pattern, revealing the LEDs inside.
