Mitsuoka Motors unveils retro-styled EV Himiko electric car

If you compare looks with money, then the Japanese auto maker, Mitsuoka Motors, has just the thing for you. The company has launched the EV Himiko, a retro-styled coupe that is based on the basic running chassis from a Mazda MX-5. The zero-emission vehicle is powered by lithium-ion batteries that according to the company are able to power the ride for a good 550km between charges.

The battery packs, which features many cases contains about 21 cells each, which is three times what is normally found. The company stacked lithium cells, to save on space and get the ride some more juice for a longer ride. There is no word on the price as yet, but going by the looks we expect this ride to bear a hefty price tag.
