Millennium Falcon crafted out of cardboard and silver spray paint

Some of us never really understood all the frenzy over the Star Wars gadgets, gizmos, accessories and various little collectibles that seem to come out in an endless line. But there is no shortage of those who will wait in ‘camped lines’ for a couple of days to get that exclusively autographed limited edition collectible or the tickets to the next flick in the series. And if you are one of those parents who would like to get your kid started on the Millennium Falcon and tell him a tale or two about Han Solo, then this cardboard ship could so just fine.

Awesome Parents Built a Millennium Falcon for Their Kid

Baby Liam is only nine months old and will not worry too much about what the ship is made out of. In fact, he most likely will have as much fun with an empty cardboard box as he will with an expensive toy. By using silver spray paint, cardboard and some tape, his parents have gifted him his very first space ship. Now, how many of us can claim to have received a space ship as a gift when we were still nine months old?

This is a wonderful example of how you can use the stuff around you to create new toys for kids and all you need for that is a bit of creativity, some time and effort. Sure, one day your kid will grow up to a stage when he will be disappointed with nothing less than that new iPad or Xbox console or some other fancy, shiny toy. But till then, creating cardboard spaceships seems like a wonderful way to keep plastic out from their hands and mouths. Liam seems pretty happy about his toy and so are we for him.
