Professional divers always dream to spend more time under water, witnessing the breathtaking and fabulous water world. But insufficient oxygen has always been a hinder for them. Fortunately there is a remedy; and that is the Micro Algae Scuba concept, a with a combination of micro algae features and a ‘rebreather’.
A very skillful application of a rather simple concept has resulted in this stunning design. The primary component of this scuba are the micro algae, that during their photosynthesize produce carbohydrates and which in turn keeps the supply of oxygen regular. It was being observed that the oxygen produced by micro algae is 2 to 4 times more than that of a tree. Designer Liu Chia-Wei optimized this concept and coupled it with re-breathing technology to replace an otherwise time-sensitive scrubber to a more utility biological scrubber. Long dives at a lesser weight is no more a far fetched reality.
