Weve always believed that the future of computing lies in computers that are either powered by renewable energy or carry highly energy efficient chips. Industrial designers too have the same opinion and hence we see a variety of computers that try to green your computing experience with added sustainable features.TheLuce by designer Andrea Ponti is one such concept laptop that is powered entirely by renewable solar energy.
The concept is aimed to be manufactured from clear polycarbonate and features two solar panels that generate all the electricity the laptop requires. One of the photovoltaic panels is installed on the top of the laptop, while the second is installed under the transparent touch-keyboard to ensure that the laptop is continuously charged throughout the day. In addition to the sustainable features, the concept laptop has been designed to reduce wire clutter, with the inclusion of wireless accessories.
