8.2 feet in length, this wooden contraption looks straight out of a wood modeling instructive, where only the basic skeleton is prepared for learners. This however is just homage to the brilliant work of another geek of another time. Way back in 1899, the La Jamais Contente was built, which is deemed to be the first electric vehicle to achieve a speed of 60+mph. This original version was also an electric vehicle (a very futuristic design for that time and age) with a light alloy bodywork. This facsimile copies the basic torpedo shape of its original inspiration and was presented at the Automotive Next Industry Fair in Tokyo on June 15, 2011.

If we delve deeper into the name of this electric car, which translates to ‘the never satisfied’, it symbolizes in large way the cumulative attitude of new generation inventors. Constantly aiming for higher, better and now with a little dimension of a greener world, they are recreating and whipping up designs which surpass their previous work each time. This vehicle, though a remodeling has brought back the genius of olden times and blended it with the burning issue of the present, to get a great eco-friendly device with terrific potential for future use.
