A mechanic from Rajasthan, the desert state of India has designed a scooter that can be powered by air! A total of 150 pounds of air can let the scooter travel a distance of half a kilometer. The scooter is equipped with a special fuel cylinder attached to the vehicle, where the fuel is filled. Usually running at a speed of 20 km per hour, the scooter can accommodate only one person.
The vehicle looks like any other scooter that starts with a kick. The scooter’s accelerator wire is connected directly to the air fuel tank.
Hari Narayan Prajapati, the designer has been working on this project for the last four years. Sounding enthusiastic about his innovation, Prajapati said,
If my technique is properly channelised people will certainly get relief from the regular hikes in petrol and diesel prices.
To improve on the vehicle, Prajapati is presently working on a special generator for it.
