House that has been recycled & revamped with style!

green home

Picking a good home to settle down is a problem that plagues a lot of people across the planet. No matter where you are & who you are, everyone craves to seek the security of their own shelter. But buying a great home to live in is an equal quandary for all & sometimes can be an incredibly difficult decision to make with the various options available. So, a couple from Texas decided to buy a home of 5000 sq feet outside of Austin.

But the couple soon realized that it was not right for them of their three children, so they decided to sell it & buy an older home, which is closer to shops, schools & their workplace. They bought an old home of 1940’s & soon found it too cramped for space. It was also a bit too old to live in, so they sold it again &… ok, they did not go on a selling spree. When they wanted this old home to be revamped & modernized they looked around for help. In came designer & eco-aware David Webber. He asked them to just lie back as he let his magic do the job.

While Webber does not posses any magic wand, what he surely has is the brilliant mind of a designer, which can transform even the most mundane stuff into something awesome. He started revamping the house by altering its interior, laying down tiles in kitchen that were retrieved from demolished construction sites, painting the walls with non-toxic varnishes & by installing solar technology & water management system.

He not only made the place very eco-friendly, but also maximized space by adding sitting shelves under the widows & by designing the home in the most beautiful manner. It is important for a designer to understand that the concept of space is in the mind of the customer. If he can do that little bit to make it bigger & optimize the use of it, his job becomes so much more easier. This home is a perfect example of how you can make every home eco-friendly & wonderful. This is much better than those eco-friendly certified homes.
