Eco Factor: Concept bus stop features a solar-powered capsule hotel on its roof.
Brazilian design studio Baita Design has come up with a sustainable bus stop design that cares for odd-hour travelers who have to wait for hours for a bus for their destination. Christened the “Hostation,” the concept bus stop includes a capsule hotel on top, which can reside those who don’t want to spend hours sitting on an uncomfortable bus stop bench.
The design includes four capsules, which can be accessed using card keys made available at airports, railway stations and tourist information centers. The capsule hotel features on bathroom and is fully equipped with heating, ventilation and lighting facilities. These facilities are powered entirely by photovoltaic panels mounted on the roof of the hotel.
