Here is another bio-fuel car launched in the UK market. The Hi-Flex Clio is launched by Renault. Developed specifically for the Brazilian market, the car is based on the old Clio II platform and is available with either a 1.0 or 1.6-litre 16-valve engine.
The new Clio models replace all of the previous petrol versions and cost Brazilians almost the same at £7,165. For bringing down CO2 emission levels, biofuel is one of the most promising solutions in Europe. It is by 2009, 50 per cent of petrol-engined Renaults offered for sale in Europe will be able to run on fuels containing up to 85 per cent of ethanol.
