Pollution : Petrol vs. Hemp:

As opposed to petrol, hemp is renewable, biodegradable, can be produced domestically and could Provide Economic Gain to American Farmers and Industry.
Petrol is everything that hemp is not. It is dangerous to handle and store, contributes to global warming, creates toxic byproducts of emission, causes sulfur pollution (acid rain), its procurement pollutes local environment. Above all, it is highly toxic to Humans and other animals.

Biodiesel can be made from hemp. Biodiesel is the only alternative fuel that can be used directly in any existing, unmodified diesel engine. Because it has similar properties to petroleum diesel fuel, biodiesel can be blended in any ratio with petroleum diesel fuel. Many federal and state fleet vehicles are already using biodiesel blends in their existing diesel engines. The low emissions of biodiesel make it an ideal fuel for use in marine areas, national parks and forests, and heavily polluted cities.

The hydrocarbons in hemp can be processed into a wide range of biomass energy sources, from fuel pellets to liquid fuels and gas. Development of biofuels could significantly reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and nuclear power
