Google partners with Lighting Science Group to bring out Android LED light bulbs

Search engine major Google has hit the headlines yet another time. After creating a sensation in search engine optimization, Google has switched to bulb manufacturing. The company created A19 LED bulb that works with any android equipped laptop, tablet pc or a smart phone. In order to bring out this 60-watt equivalent LED bulb, Google partnered with Lighting Science Group. This bulb is omnidirectional.

These A19 LED bulb were created to ensure low energy consumption. This bulb, as said earlier, works with any android device. One can dim or brighten the light with the help of his android phone. To put in a nutshell, the android device will act as the remote control.

The best feature of A19 LED bulb is the built-in radio that interfaces with Google’s wireless protocol. Further, this bulb self-adjusts itself to ensure low energy consumption. The A19 LED bulb caught the attention of people when it was unveiled at I/O developer in San Francisco.

Briefing the media about the product, Eric Holland, the director of Lighting Sciences Group said:

Lighting is very visible and prevalent so it made sense for it to be first foray for the platform. Every one of the lights has a radio integrated inside the lamp so there’s no additional equipment.

These LED lights are likely to hit the international market in December this year. The price of the android LED lights vary between 20 USD and 35 USD for 60-watt equivalent.
