Google campus: Meeting place for those with innovative minds

Start up technology companies have a new address. Google has come up with a shared workplace designed by Jump Studios in the heart of London. This shared workplace located in a seven story building has flexible open plan work spaces that can accommodate start up companies and will provide them with a platform where they can share ideas and conceptualize designs.

The work space has been designed in such a manner that informal meeting rooms along with small kitchens have been build within ship containers. The ground level reception desk is a big add on as multicolored duplo bricks greet a visitor. Adding to the elegance is the wall of reclaimed fruit crates that has been designed to provide ample space for books, wall hangings and pin boards.

The reception is separated from the presentation room through red shutters that can easily be subdivided into two, if the situation demands so. The lower ground floor has a cafe that has aesthetic plywood furniture along with a workshop for non members who might frequent the place for work inquiries.

Google worked upon this idea to fuel London’s start up technology companies and give them a platform where they can work upon ideas in a fun filled atmosphere. Tech Hub worked in tandem with Seedcamp, Springboard and Central Working with an aim of providing a centralized work space to start up technology firms. The facility also aims to make the place a hub for entrepreneurship experts where they can share their ideas besides holding close consultations with technology experts in niche areas. Google will be offering technical support with its engineers visiting the facility regularly to interact with technology experts and share the vision of Google with them.

Designing the campus was a challenge for Jump Studios as adequate care had to be taken to maintain the continuity in design with the premises giving a vibrant look where start up technology enthusiasts can meet and share their vision for a better tomorrow. However, the competent team of designers was able to come up with an aesthetic design that is attracting start up technology enthusiasts from all across the place.
