Eco Factor: Zero-emission vehicle powered by magnets.
Designed by Rui Gou, a vehicle design student at the Royal College of Art, the GlideX 2020 is a concept vehicle designed for Chinese roads. The zero-emission electric vehicle is powered by electromagnets integrates in roads. The concept also includes a portable auxiliary power unit and a lithium-ion battery pack.
Running on magnetic roads, the concept vehicle promises a zero-emission ride and interacts with participants to help them achieve better driving efficiency, by providing physical and virtual assistance and feedback while they are driving. Moreover, a sustainable driving mentality will start to emerge in China.
