Searching for an eco-friendly furniture design, ecofriend came across this wonderful piece of art. These beautiful pieces of furniture are not made of rechaimed wood or recycled metal. They are made of drinking straws!
The aesthetically and soothing colored stool and chair in the picture is all made of drinking straws assembled, which otherwise are generally meant to be headd for the landfill after use. These plastic drinking straws, generally non-biodegradable, are used once and thrown away to add to the filth of landfills, harming the environment.
Inspired by broom, the straws used in the furniture will be of use for years. The chair is sized 40 x 80 x 50 cm and the stool, 40 x 40 x 40 cm.
