First Look at the Ford Evos Coupe making way to Frankfurt Motor Show

Ford Evos

The coupe family is soon to get a new member with the addition of the Evos Coupe. All trendy and powerful, the baby is born to challenge the reigns of the bestsellers like Chevy Camaro. Another kid from the Ford family, Mustang, has already made it to the top notch. Evos will surely try to follow in the footsteps of its big brother. However, capturing the heart and mind of the people ain’t an easy thing to do. To capture the market it needs to be chiseled to perfection. In this issue, we have tried to have a look at what makes the new Evos hot and what not.

First look

This four seater sports coupe is bold and beautiful. The body is muscular without soft curves. It features splendid gull wing doors and avant-garde infotainment systems. With the Evos, Ford is eyeing the show-stopper crown at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The exteriors

With a length of 4.5 meters and a width of 1.97 meters, the car is as broad as Lamborghini Aventador. At raised position, mounted pompously is a shinning trapezoidal grille. Complementing them are slim ‘laser cut’ front headlights with LEDs.

The design speaks a bold language. A raised bonnet, relatively short overhangs sculpted, flanks and a fastback tail, all tell the story of a bold sporty statement it echoes. However, this was not enough for the master designers and they set out to work for more. They slashed the lower part of the nose house deeply to house spotlights.

The gull wing door has four separate openings. While the opening of the front doors lifts up slim widescreen A-pillars and part of the bonnet, most of the rear bodywork rises up with the opening of rear wings.

The interiors

Inside, it is a driver’s baby with most of the embellishment around his seat. The bold red driver’s seat has curvy structures on both sides giving information about the infotainment systems and the car. The inner make-up features clean, face with a sleek upper instrument panel and bold trapezoidal cut-outs. The driver can also enjoy the SYNC in car connectivity system comprising music streaming with traffic, road condition and weather info.

Under the hood

The chassis features a 2.0 liter petrol engine churning out (approx) 250bhp. The front wheels will be driven by an electric motor powered by lithium ion batteries. It will be using the same petrol-electric powertrain as Ford C-MAX energy hybrid. Interestingly, the engine and electric motor can work together or separately to make the most of efficiency (it has a range of up to 500 miles). If all goes well the first Evos will be out within the next four months.
