Eco Factor: Lightweight bike powered by an electric motor.

The YikeBike, which initially surfaced just over a year ago, has now been made available in the United States by its manufacturer. To be a proud owner of one of these lightweight electric bikes, you’ll have to spend about $3600. The compact bike, which has been designed to dodge traffic jams, has a carbon fiber body to reduce overall weight to just 22 pounds.

The YikeBike runs at 14mph for up to 6.2 miles on a single charge. The front wheel of the bike measures 20-inches, while the rear measures just 8-inches. However, if you plan to extend your journey beyond 6.2 miles, be prepared to hook on the carrying strap, by first folding the wheels together and then folding the appendages.
