Does America have sufficient power resources to support the conversion of 220 million vehicles on its roads to electric cars? Yes, the present existing U.S. power plants can provide enough power to help switch 84 percent of these vehicles to electricity from gasoline!

Here is a great news for electric car owners! A new analysis made by the U.S. Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory assures that the existing electric power plants in the US could fuel 84 percent of "light duty" vehicles, even if all 220 million cars and trucks are converted to electric power in a day!
