Eco Factor: Electric-Powered transportation vehicle for the future of tourism.
Prato is not place that pops comes to mind if you wish to get around in Italy. But it could soon become a model for many other cities across the planet when it comes to promoting tourism. Designed by Jake Eadie, the new Concept Public Transportation system seems to be perfect for green tourism rather than daily commuting. The beautiful driverless vehicle is operated by a computer and has a maximum speed of 15 km/hr. Its complete glass construction allows you to get the best possible view of the city from every seat.

The 6-seater can move even as slow as 5 km/hr, giving you ample time for sightseeing, while its electric engine gives you a pleasant green ride. The emission-free ride coupled with beautiful design makes it an eco-delight.

The Dark Side:
If it is indeed geared toward mainstream urban commuting then it is too slow to ever be practical. Apart from that, there seems very little wrong with what is otherwise a pretty perfect tourist vehicle with green intent.
