The annual LG Skins Game has always carried a high-gloss reputation with some big names competing in the tournament. This year’s tournament that is being currently held at the Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California, is no exception, apart from some added eco-friendliness that comes courtesy of Sequoia Solar. The company has developed a mobile solar unit, which is a truck loaded with 2.5 kilowatts worth of solar panels. The truck has been positioned in the tournament’s reception area and will completely power the cash registers, sound system and all of the 80 golf carts that are in use during the tournament.

The Dark Side:

Unless weather plays a spoilsport, the company’s solar truck could make a LG Skins Game, one of the greenest tournaments ever held.
