Eco Factor: Energy-efficient LCDs from Samsung.
Designing to the demands of green LCDs, Samsung has launched a couple of new displays that the company is touting to be 33% less energy hungry that all other LCDs developed by them till date. Coming with the Sync Master 70 Series, the new LCDs will be available in 20 and 23” variants. The displays will have a contrast ratio of 50,000:1 and a 2ms response time.

The Dark Side:
Apart from the “green” features, the company has made no statement on the resolution and the cost of these monitors, which might have taken the blow in an effort to add the ecofriendly features.
