Panolin AG is coming up with a range of eco-friendly hydraulic oils finding their effective applications within the rail industry. The new oil is supposed to perform as a torque converter fluid, gear oil and hydraulic oil. The Panolin Biofluid ZFH has been approved for use in ZF Series WG200 type gearboxes and the PANOLIN EP Gear Synth VTD is going through the final stages of approval for use in Voith Turbo Transmissions.

Oils that have a longer life can help to reduce the logistics and cost of maintenance; oils that have a better lubrication capacity can increase the life of components and improve reliability.
