Eco Cars: Volvo readies Electric C30 for Detroit Auto Show

Eco Factor: Prototype vehicle designed to run on electricity.

Volvo has announced that the company will be showcasing an updated version of the all-electric C30 at the Detroit Auto Show to be held in January 2010. The company plans to produce at least 50 units for a group of selected users who can test drive the car in 2011.

The prototype vehicle has a range of about 93 miles and can hit a speed of 60mph in under 11 seconds. The company has also spent a lot of time developing new safety features that ensure their brand reputation for ultimate safety.
