Eco Factor: Zero-emission car powered entirely by onboard batteries.

Siemens has presented the eRuf Stormsters for the Climate Change Conference currently underway in Copenhagen. The zero-emission all-electric vehicle is built by eRuf on a Porsche Cayenne chassis. The vehicle is taking the opportunity to prove to the world leaders that the current state of the industry lays on practical EVs.

The vehicle is powered by Siemens electric motors that generate 367hp of power propelling this green SUV to a speed of 62mph in just 9 seconds. The EV is being claimed to have an operating range of about 112 miles with a top speed of about 93mph.

Siemens has also designed an eCar-Station, a charging facility that can meter electricity in two different voltages and amperages. The system is controlled by an “eCarD” reader that prevents any unauthorized use.
